Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the cadre of PA/SA for the vacancy year 2024 (01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024)
I am directed to refer to Directorate’s Model Notification of even number dated 07.06.2024 on the above subject and to say that one of the Circles informed that the clause of Senior/Junior has not been included in the Model Notification for the said LDCE and requested to include the said clause in the notification.
2. The matter has been examined. It is informed that the ‘Senior/Junior clause’ is a part of Department of Posts (PA/SA) Recruitment Rules (RRs) 2022 (issued vide letter No. 04-05/2015-SPN-I dated 20.06.2022), followed by amendment to the RRs dated 13.01.2022, which is Statuary Provision and should be followed.
3. Circles are therefore requested to bring the above clause of RRs i.e. ‘Senior/Junior clause’ to the notice of all eligible applicants and allow them, if they fulfil the senior/junior clause as per above RRs.
4. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
