GDS TO MTS Final Result 2026

NOTICE

Subject: Competitive Examination (CE) for recruitment to the cadre of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) from eligible Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) for the vacancy year 2026, held on 12.07.2026: Declaration of Result.
1. I am directed to forward the result of Competitive Examination (CE) for recruitment to the cadre of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) from eligible Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) for the vacancy year 2026, held on 12.07.2026 in Annexure-I.
2. Division-wise vacancies of MTS for the year 2026 are narrated as under:

3. Allotment of Divisions / Units to selected candidates have been made as per instruction contained in Directorate letter No.17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 18.10.2023 & 31.10.2023. This allotment is also subject to change, if any discrepancy found in allotment later on.
4. Instructions contained in DoPT OM dated 17.05.2022 and Postal Directorate’s letter no. X-20/17/2024-SPN-II dated 08.07.2025 in respect of PwBD candidates are adhered in making final result for recruitment to the cadre of MTS.
5. The information relating to candidate’s name, roll number, category, post, date of birth & date of engagement have been shown on the basis of information furnished by the Regions/Division/Units. In case, there is any mistake in the details of candidate, the same may be intimated to this office for necessary action. In case, if it is found subsequently that any of the promoted / selected candidate was not eligible for the examination/ selection under the existing rules/ instructions on the subject or for any other reasons or in case any mistake is found with regard to declaration of result of any candidate for any reason whatsoever, his/her name will be deleted from the list of successful candidates, as the case may be. This result is also subject to any change in the merit list of successful candidates due to any unforeseen reason in accordance with the existing rules and instructions on the subject.
6. The result of all successful candidates is subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as decided by the concerned Divisional Head and vigilance status of the candidates. The candidate against whom vigilance or disciplinary case is pending/ those undergoing punishment should not be promoted and such cases should be referred back to this office as per directions of Postal Directorate’s letter no. X-7/6/2022-SPN-II dated 17.05.2023, 22.09.2023 & 04.03.2024.
7. Final Answer Keys of above examination have already been uploaded on the Departmental website i.e. www.indiapost.gov.in on 17.09.2026
8. All the Divisional Heads/ Appointment Authorities are requested to cause issuance of appointment orders on or before 23.09.2026. The appointment authorities are also requested to carry out all the required pre-appointment formalities as provide in relevant rules and instructions issued from time to time.
9. Divisional / Unit Heads are requested to ensure the relief arrangement of the candidates so as to join the recruited post upto 26.09.2026 (F/N) and their training will be started simultaneously by the concerned division from the date of joining. If there are any queries, regarding training programme, please coordinate with staff section, CO Jaipur.
10. Divisional Heads concerned are directed to submit the unwillingness/refusal (unconditional) of the candidate by 24.09.2026 positively. If any Division/Unit especially in which the candidate is presently working is failed to submit the refusal within stipulated time to Circle Office, they will be held responsible for that.
11. Request for re-allotment of any candidate will not be entertained in any circumstances.
